Can you add a fountain to my existing pond?
Absolutely. A pond fountain is an excellent addition - it adds a beautiful visual display and, crucially, greatly improves the oxygenation of the water, which is highly beneficial for fish. We assess your existing pump setup and advise whether a new pump is needed.
What is a bubbling rock fountain?
A bubbling rock fountain (also called a disappearing fountain or pondless water feature) is our most popular installation. Water bubbles up through a drilled boulder or decorative rock and disappears into a hidden underground reservoir below. It looks completely natural, is very safe around children and pets, and is extremely low maintenance.
Does a fountain need mains electricity?
Most Aquascape fountains require a mains power supply for the pump. Some smaller solar-powered options are available for areas without easy power access - we can advise on the best option for your space.
What type of fountain is best for a small patio?
An Aquascape self-contained water feature or bubbling rock is ideal for smaller spaces. They contain their own reservoir and pump, require no pond or external water supply, and suit both modern and traditional garden styles.

How much does fountain installation cost in Essex, Kent, London or Hertfordshire?
An Aquascape bubbling rock fountain starts from around £800–£1,500 installed, depending on the size of the boulder and complexity of the reservoir. Pond fountain add-ons (pump and spray head into an existing pond) start from £150 fitted. Self-contained patio water features start from around £600. How long does it take to install a garden fountain?
Most standard fountain installations are completed in a single day. Self-contained millstone or sphere features can be installed in 3–5 hours once access is confirmed. Larger installations with bespoke pipework or formal stone basins may take 2 days.
How do I stop my fountain water going green?
Algae growth in fountain basins is caused by sunlight and nutrient-rich water. Regular use of a quality fountain water treatment inhibits algae growth, and keeping the pump running reduces stagnation. A partial shade position also helps. We can advise on the best treatment regime for your fountain type during any service visit.
